CHEADLE HULME
Cheadle Hulme were founded in 1926 by Mr Phil Knowles and were known as Cheadle Hulme Victoria. In 1933, Cheadle Hulme FC folded and Cheadle Hulme Victoria adopted the name and moved to their current ground Woods Lane. The following year they became members of Lancashire and Cheshire League. After 7 years and World War II immenent the club suspended activites until 1945/46. Mr Phil Knowles served as Cheadle Hulme as Secretary, President and in 1963 was made President of Lancashire and Cheshire Footaball League. Mr Knowles fulfilled these positions, including 60 years as secretary until his passing on 22nd November 2006, i think it is fair to say that without Mr Knowles passion for amateur football, i certainly wouldnt be sat here writing this history and without people like him there would be a lot less amateur football being played in the UK.
The clubs last major sucsess came in 1992/93 when they won the First Division title and in 1999 and 2000 provided no fewer than 13 players to represnet the League's side in 2 matches.
The club have played the majority of their football in the top two Division's the L&C, until relegation to the Second Divsion before they folded a quarter of the way through the season lying 7th in the table.
